Bermuda Maintenance Fall and Winter

This warm season grass is a resilient variety designed for active, outdoor living with family and friends. It provides a dense carpet that withstands daily use.

Maintenance

Fertilizing

As weather cools, use a slow-release fertilizer like Scotts® Turf Builder® WinterGuard® Fall Lawn Food to strengthen the lawn’s roots. It feeds the lawn consistently and is better for the environment.

Watering

Water until the lawn becomes dormant. Especially if warm days are followed by cold ones, moisture keeps the lawn warm.

Mowing

Mow at 1” until weather cools. Raise mower to 2” when nighttime temperatures drop below 70 degrees to allow more leaf surface as it goes dormant.
